2012 photojournalism

I am a photojournalist and a portrait photographer based in Durban. I have  so much fun shooting people and can't think of a better job in the world. I combine a reportage telling-your-story style approach with some directed portraits, capturing emotion, connections between people and anything beautiful. I enjoy taking artistic photographs that depicts the story of your day.
I am not that bothered if everyone's looking into the camera (although those shots can be beautiful too). I love seeing how families are with each other, it's all about emotion and interaction at a certain phase of their family's lives. I do  more 'posed' images, just to get everyone in the same shot... but more often I will observe the way people are naturally together and get ideas from being with them

 She lives on the streets and ask for food from strangers.

Michelle is an 18year old girl that ran away from home with her friend. Now she is on the streets with no food, place to stay no no friend because her friend ran away from her with her boyfriend. Michelle has been on the street for 5years now.
